NFL Week 4

Week 3: 6-2-1 +8.5 units

YTD: 16-11-3 +11.59 units



Taking a look at this upcoming week, I see a couple that really stand out.

1. NYJ opens at 8, currently at +9.5 and would love to see 10. Indy IS NOT the same team without James. Stats are nearly the same for both teams and Jets @home. They never give up and will certaily keep it within the number. Indy may win, but not more than 7.

2. My beloved Bolts GIVING 2.5 to Balt in Balt! WOW! Balt wins this game- Rivers gets pressured and Balt shuts down LT...as much as I hate to say it, this game is a gift.


Others to strongly consider
1. Buf laying the small number @ home to Minny.
2. NE getting 6! Over reaction to their loss on Sun night and Cincy win @Pitt. Wouldn't be surprised to see NE win this game SU.
3. Oak +3...they win their 1st game of the year.



I will watch line movements and post plays later in the week. GL all.

Those are the two things I noticed right away. Jets are better than people are giving them credit for.

jets are now the most under rated team in the nfl after denver has just gotten of the snide (spelling?) . anyways, good write-ups on your line observation and situation.

you can't underestimate the value of a good new coach...he seems to be making the correct decisions on the sidelines...that wins games...

SD is a good road team and have had quality wins last year, however that was with Brees at the helm and the bottom line is he is a very good quarterback...as the Saints are finding out. This is a HUGE test for Rivers against a very trough D. The Ravens are +10 in takeaways and are tied for he league lead in sacks! And that will be the difference in this game IMO. Chargers D is solid and Merriman is an animal. These teams are equally matched as their numbers thus far are similar. So it comes down to Rivers VS McNair. All that being said give 3 points for home field and Balt should be favored by 3 in this game, not SD. My money says Rivers will make more mistakes than McNair and Balt wins.


I am seeing alot saying that NE is now done. Why? One game in the NFL does not make a season. Yes they played bad against Den and prior to that game everyone was harping on how Den was done and Plummer should be benched. Should Cincy win- sure. Do I think the public has over reacted to last week..yes. Game opened at 4.5 and has been bet up to 6 and we may see 7's before long. I will take it all day.

And I have noticed alot on the Minny bandwagon. Buf has been improving in its first 3 games rushing for 99,105,169 respectively and the passing game produce over 300 yards last week. Unfortunatley they had their 1st 3 turnovers of the year and that loses games. Minny is vanilla and that doens't win games on the raod. Again 2 teams that are evenly matched and this line should be at Buf -3..anything less is value.

Another thing to take into account about the Jets is that Mangini was part of those Belicheck D's that gave Peyton fits in the past. Just a little more food for thought...
