Staring on the case of 24 right now

Heres the latest local forcast from Matt Britten (meterologist) who is actually making his way to the stadium as i post. There could possibly be scattered thunderstorms from 7-9 pm. Game starts at 8, so it looks like it might be wet in the begining, but so far the fields are dry.

Bowden, unlike alot of other coaches, thinks the rain favors the wide recievers, because they know when they are going to cut and this makes harder for a defensive back to react. In the past, if they knew there was going to be the possibility of rain, they would dunk the football (after every play) in water and practice with it. I dont know if other coaches do the same thing, but if it is wet/raining, bowden wont scale back the playcalling that signifianlty b/c of the weather.

If it wet, i think the Miami backfield will have some problems, because with their inexperience at WR, they will run the ball more. With FSU strength being at DT, they wont get much production up the middle. They will have to run outside to the corners where the speed of the LBs should contain them.

Overall, theres not going to be a significant difference in the Miami offense with all these new coaches. They will be more aggressive, but they wont be implementing a whole new offense, like some think.

They will use a lot of 2/3 drop steps to try to limit the number of sacks. If FSU is in the 3-4 defense, i see this being a plus, because its so hard to account for every LB when your looking to get the ball out so quick.

No joke, Chop, that looks like a VERY playable 7 team parlay.

I have used all of those games with the exception of Ohio State.
And with the Buckeyes it wasn't because I didn't like them. Just
thought it was a field goal game. Which way has more to do with
the way the football bounces, and I cannot predict that goofy thing .

I may have to do a couple 4 team Round Robins with your picks with
a double up on either Auburn or VA Tech.

Hey Rawhide, im glad you like my picks. I'll probably have some stronger plays than Va Tech & Ohio St, posted sometime later this week.

Indiana is a strong play for me. Ball St gave up over 400 yards to Eastern Mich! Indianas talented WR's are going to KILL them.

I like Ohio St, but its hard to go against a team playing AT home with a better Pass, Rush, and Scoring defense (i know it was against a NT team). Also, Everyone is writing off Texas, because they dont have Vince Young. They will have a huge chip on their shoulders this week. For those reasons, im laying off this game.
