For $1,000 and was nervous as shit. The blinds finally got to $75-$150. I had him 2 to 1 and had a J-7 and he put me all in with a K-6. He won the showdown on that one. I got him down 2-1 again and he put me all in with Q-6 and I called with 10-7 off. A 10 came on the turn for the winner for me.
Damn, I was stressed.

Good for you and Yay for the poker tourneys coming in the future.
What exactly were you nervous about? Just winning or did you buy in for too big of a % of your bankroll?
I would also be nervous in a dime buy-in NL heads-up game. Nice job.
i have been playing poker more lately and know what you mean. the one thing i have noticed is that odd hands actually win and strong hands seldom hold up....i lost to a pair of 2's (i had ace/king)...funny game
man I hate playing No Limit Heads Up. I will NEVER play one and I while I love being in the position to play heads up at the end of a sit and go or in live play, it's only because I'm in the final two.
It's not that I don't think I have an advantage if I play right, it just is too much anxiety for me.
It wouldn't matter if I was playing for five dollars or five thousand. I hate losing. And my patience starts to wear thin, and you just can't allow that to happen.
Glad to hear you came out victorious!
