    Default Let's talk some poker

    where do you play?

    Online?

Local games at some dude's house?

    In the casino?

I have played a little poker at the local Oklahoma Indian Casinos but mostly I play online at Poker Stars, Absolute Poker, Full Tilt Poker, etc.

I typically do pretty well so long as I don't play too much. If I get to where I'm playing 5 hours a day for several days in a row I tend to start losing money and tend to chase.

When I play here and there as I have time and don't get too fired up about it, I usually do really really well. It's that inherent inability to get up and stop playing the game that plagues me, as many other gamblers alike have likely experienced.

the live games are so much softer that i rarely play online anymore... firelake and riverwind get most of my action with a trip to newcastle and lucky star mixed in occasionally. i would equate the play of most 1/2 nl live tables to the same skill level of 10/20c online, jmo though.

I really don't enjoy playing live poker at the casinos much and it may be simply because I don't play in that environment that often, but it's more likely because of the personal interaction with other players. I really honestly prefer to not have "deal" with other players. I don't want to hear their witty dialogue or commentary. It usually irritates the ever living crap out of me. Online text commentary is WORSE tenfold, but you don't have to enable or read that crap if you don't want to.

    Hello

The beauty of poker is that anyone can compete and with some good cards and luck, hold their own against a top player.I really like it, sometimes I win, most of the time I lose!! But I still enjoy it

    Thanks
    Have a nice time head.

Though i play both poker in live and online, i win more often at online than in live poker game and tourneys. I guess i am too predictable whenever i play live, can't help myself whenever i am holding a good and bad hands.

Poker is a family of card games that share betting rules and usually hand ranking. Poker games differ in how the cards are dealt, how hands may be formed, whether the high or low hand wins the pot in a showdown (in some games, the pot is split between the high and low hands), limits on bets and how many rounds of betting are allowed. In most modern poker games, the first round of betting begins with some form of forced bet. The action then proceeds to the left. Each player in turn must either match the maximum previous bet or fold, losing the amount bet so far and all further interest in the hand. A player who matches a bet may also raise, increasing the bet. The betting round ends when all players have either matched the last bet or folded. If all but one player fold on any round, the remaining player collects the pot and may choose to show or conceal their hand. If more than one player remains in contention after the final betting round, the hands are shown and the winning hand takes the pot.

I prefer to play online poker than in love poker games, i am not good in terms of bluffing so whenever i play at live game i definitely lose the game because my opponents easily determine whenever i have a good hand or not by bluffing, unlike at online casino, i play aggressively because they didn't see my bluffs that much.
