is auburn's season over, meaning, how big is this game at WVU on thursday? are they still in fighting mode or relax mode. with 3 losses i was curious, don't mean to throw any salt on your wounds but i figured you guys might have some insight as to how the team is feeling.

i have some concerns. but the team has wanted Kodi Burns to be the starting qb for awhile, so that should help morale. nevertheless, his pocket presence has been awful..and he's pretty one dimensional at this point. Tubs is tired of hearing the media flap their gums about how he has lost his touch...i think he wants this game tomorrow night pretty badly.

the weather is another concern. we haven't played in a temp below 73 all season. should be about 40 gametime tomorrow night.

the total in this game has inched up from 38 to 38'. i think the over is a strong play.

AU defense is still beat up. Cornerback Jerraud Powers (probably our best defensive player) has been practicing and should play, but is not 100%. However, we're still beat up on the D-line. DE Antoine Carter is out. DEs Michael Goggans (ankle) and Antonio Coleman (hamstring) are still hurting, but will play. Same for DT Sen’Derrick Marks. We'll probably be running the ball (a lot) out of 2 formations, the spread and probably a 2-back set. Since WVA practices against spread every day, I think AU will revert to some smash mouth. I agree with PVC on the weather element. Also, this will be a real emotional game for both teams - 2 pre-season Top 10 teams having rough years. AU will have to take WVA fans out of this game early. I don't think they will and I like WVA to cover. Since I don't bet against my team, though, sure hope I'm wrong.

Personally, I'll probably be watching the World Series.
