Johnson will lead the field to the green flag at the TUMS QuikPak 500 as NASCAR’s finest will duel for 500 laps on Martinsville’s 0.526-mile track, and the No.48 driver will be going for his third straight win in the Martinsville fall race.>Johnson should be favored by NASCAR odds this weekend, as his finishing average of 6.0 is easily tops among active drivers. Johnson has finished outside the top ten here only once in 13 races, and that was due to an accident. To help his cause, qualifying was rained out for the second consecutive week, meaning Johnson, as the points leader, will start from the pole.>Johnson will probably have to deal with the likes of Hendrick teammate Jeff Gordon, who also co-owns Johnson’s car. Gordon has seven wins at Martinsville and a 7.0 finishing average in 31 races, which puts him right behind his teammate. Denny Hamlin will also have low NASCAR odds because of his 9.5 finishing average here, but the No.11 team has struggled in recent weeks. Some possible darkhorses according to NASCAR betting could be Jeff Burton, who came out of nowhere to win at Lowe’s last week and he now trails only Johnson in the point standings. The No.29 driver has a respectable 14.5 finishing average at Martinsville, and he has more than enough experience to stay out of trouble. Juan Pablo Montoya could also surprise some looking to bet on NASCAR this weekend, as he has an 11.9 average finish at Martinsville and he generally does very well on short tracks and road courses.
