ESPN, ACC may announce TV deal today
9:22 am July 8, 2010, by Doug Roberson
ESPN and the ACC have scheduled a news conference for 11 a.m. today, presumably to formally announce the TV deal that was reported in May.
Various news outlets reported that ESPN will pay between $150-155 million a year for the league’s rights to football and basketball for 12 years, beginning in 2011-12. The previous deal, which expires after the 2010-11 season, pays the ACC between $67-75 million a year.
Neither ESPN nor ACC have confirmed the details of the contract during the past two months.
