New Forum Feedback -- New Mobile Feature for Home Page and Mobile for the Forums

Hey guys.. give us your feed back on the new forum.... We are by no means done with it... the links up top are not working as the domain needs changing and should be done tomorrow.. have to get banners going and that should be done soon....


I know it is a lot different than other VB versions but once you get used to it I do think you will like it.. you just got to get used to the quote and multiquote buttons.... and lots of other things..


Give all the feedback you want.... there are some things I don't like that we will change and things cooper doesn't like as well.. we got tons of stuff to fix over the next few days..

on the main forum page, when you move over the section a baloon pops up blocking you from being able to click on the forum... like when i go to move my mouse over the hockey forum link, something pops up over it, and i cant click on it to enter.

the new look is good though, looks neater and more proffesional, just gotta work out the kinks. also mobile doesnt work for me now, i go to it and it just stays on the giq home page and wont let me click or scroll

OK guys... Links up top are fixed... you can now see the Tag Cloud to the right... please start using tags to add to your posts.. it helps with the search of posts, etc...

Also anything else you want us to add to the Sidebar let us know and we will try to do it


Also we can comment on posts on the home page now

We are working on Logos for the forums where the envelopes are... I just now turned off the green arrows that show that you have posted in thread... was on my nerves... but if you guys like it I can turn it back on

What 66 said above - when I move the mouse over one of the sub-forums a bubble comes up that shows how many threads and posts in there - for longer sub-forum titles there's enough room to click, but for Junkman's for example I can't get to it....

Well I absolutely hate the new forum at this time. I liked the old forum just fine. Maybe I will figure out how to use it, but these damn POP-UP ballons keep getting in the way

I mean I literally cannot view most of the forums. I couldnt even GET INTO the contest forum last night. I still cant really get in except for the 5dimes thread. Also the color is just horrific in that it is all white.

Guys I am using Firefox and I don't get the problem.... I will try it in IE in a bit

just my opinion, but i like the new colors. i think you should widen the board to fit the screen instead of centering it, and make the title boxes closer together, instead of so spread apart. like each thread topic seems to be too spaced from the next one. the thread/post bubbles definately have to go too. mobile was working much better for me today too thanks

I would like to take some space out as well... will have to figure out how to do it on VB 4.0..... what browser are you using.. I don't get the bubble unless i go over the Envelope

Ok guys... The Box is an IE only Problem... maybe in Opera and Chrome I don't know... if anyone uses those let us know...


We are going to fix it as soon as possible... I highly recommend using Firefox... it is a much better, more stable and more secure browser.. IE is trouble guys....

It is messed up in Opera as well.... I don't use Chrome.. I guess Firefox is the only one it is not fucked up in....

i have ie and chrome. it actually looks better on chrome than on ie, and the bubble thing doesnt happen on chrome

Same with Firefox... IE and Opera are the problems now.. it looks outstanding in Firefox... we didn't even know it was that fucked up... should have checked it but it is usually unilateral when you do something

There are even bugs in firefox. The forum isn't full width compared to the header. There's a menu option hanging below.
