Notre Dame lost, Villanova squeaks by in OT, Marquette in a dogfight and now Georgetown behind by 12 at the half to Ohio.

And I thought they were the strongest conference going in......

i have one open bracket on bookmaker where gtown is my only loss. broke my heart.

i also made plans to buy tickets to saturdays games in providence, i had a guy from craigslist come to my house and i was so pissed i told him forget it. $100 for the nova/marys game and the ohio/tenn or sdsu game. i dont even want to go now fuck it im so disgusted right now

The Big East now is like the ACC was for a long time... they got the reputation of being a Great League (which they are) and the best in Basketball and you really can't tell how strong the league is because there are 6-7 teams that are very close with a couple just a step above and the rest are good except for one or two teams...They just beat up on each other and in the early season OOC match ups you really can't tell cause the teams are not playing well... Most years they are the best Conference by far but sometimes they are down and you can't tell and the respect factor is riding in....

Take Gtown as an example.. no one else with 8 losses in their league even sniffed a 3 seed or are even near the top 10... most are barely in the top 25
