It's hard to tell with Beltran he never goes full speed. Starting to re-think the over 81 that I wanted to play. Just re-thinking.

Very true it usually always comes down to pitching but good teams IMO take the pressure off mediocre pitching by putting runs on the board and as much as I dislike Reyes and the Mets he does make them go. But yes Pitching is key.

Good Offensive teams will not win anything as mediocre pitching will not get you there... you will not score 5+ runs every night as you would have to do to win with mediocre pitching... just not going to happen... Offense does not win.. very few teams have every won a World Championship with Offense and mediocre pitching

I agree but I'm not talking Championship I'm talking winning over 81 games.. If Reyes isn't out for an extended period of time I'm playing over 81 reg season wins.

I don't think you can even figure that in unless he is going to miss at least a couple months... Most position players don't impact a teams chances of winning long term by missing a 1/3 of their teams games.. it has to be more... realistically with off days and such nowadays most players don't play more than 140 games a year anyway
