Leading his team to the National Championship Game earned Texas quarterback Colt McCoy another chance to win the Heisman Trophy.
McCoy was named a finalist for the award on Monday, along with Stanford's Toby Gerhart, Alabama's Mark Ingram, Nebraska's Ndamukong Suh and Florida's Tim Tebow.
McCoy and Tebow lost the award last year to Oklahoma's Sam Bradford, who missed most of the season after injuring his right shoulder. Tebow won the award in 2007 and will try to become the second two-time Heisman winner.
McCoy finished the season by throwing three picks in a closer-than-expected Big 12 championship game, but finished the season with 27 touchdown passes for the undefeated Longhorns.
Gerhart finished the regular season with six consecutive games of 120 rushing yards or more. In his final game, the Stanford running back ran for 205 yards and three touchdowns, including the game winner, and threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to beat Notre Dame. Gerhart has run for more yards -- 1,736 -- than any player in the nation.
Tebow's final impression on voters was a loss to Alabama in the SEC championship game, where the quarterback threw for 247 yards, a touchdown and one interception. Despite losing a shot at the title game, Tebow threw for 2,413 yards and 18 touchdowns this season.
Ingram rushed for 1,542 yards and scored 15 touchdowns for Alabama.
Nebraska's Suh had 4½ sacks in an attention-grabbing performance against Texas in the Big 12 title game.
The winner will be announced Dec. 12 at 8 p.m. on ESPN.

After watching Suh play against Texas, he is the real deal!

Wouldn't mind seeing Suh take the Heisman, but more than likely be an offensive player to win it.
