don't sweat this justin...
The UIGEA (Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act) technically goes into effect in just a few days. Actually it goes into effect December 1, 2009, but the real question is how will this effect you the recreational or professional offshore gambler in some cases?
In a short answer this bill will not effect most people if they pay attention to what they do and circumvent some of the old ways. These new ways may be an inconvienence, but under the new landscape it is going to be a necessity for individuals to do their due diligence in order to be successful betting offshore.
The skinny:
Many banks have already been trying to "police" this type of activity, so the fear of anything drastic happening is unwarranted. Because of the sheer volume of transactions that pass through banks daily, it's virtually impossible for many of them to detect a gambling related transaction from others .
Furthermore, many operators have figured out safer methods to protect their customers. I guess if you were that worried about it I would contact your sportsbook and see what they have done to try to make offshore gambling still a possibility for US customers.
I'm not worried about it........But on the same token, PM Dirty or myself if you are new to depositing and want to know how to deposit to an offshore.
I'll be deleting threads if posters tell how they deposit to an offshore on a public forum.......Only takes one wrong person to see the thread.
Some things are better unsaid.
