I thought Card had the pitching to go far this year, but guess not this time. They had some unlucky breaks in game 2, but the Dodgers are playing solid ball. Looks like Padilla is in good post season form.

If Holliday catches the ball and evens the series at 1-1 I believe it would have turned out way different

Yes, it would have been whole new series. Too bad, I would have personally liked to watch Pujols, Holliday and the pitching staff doing well.

I was definitely looking forward to watching the Cards advance so I could see that outstanding PItching Staff pitch and for Selfish Reasons hoping Smoltz could get him one more ring

I guess you root for the long time Atlanta legend. Smoltz was getting his stuff in good shape. Is he considering retirement after the season?

No.. He will be back.... I think he will either end up in SL or LA as both of those were really after him when he signed

The Braves will be Competitive Next year as well, but there is no room for him.... We will have

Huddy, Vazquez, Jurgens, Hanson, Lowe, and Kawakami (who will be traded most likely) so we can get some power..... so should be a good year

Yeah, East will be tough division if Mets will get some of their power bats back from injuries, but I like Atlanta's chances. Wasn't too far from wild card this season.

Atl was just too up and down... would win 6 or 7 in a row and then lose 5 straight....

Mets will make some noise in the offseason... they have too much money not to

Will be interesting to see what happens in the offseason. I'll make notes and start making some rough power rankings closer to spring time.

There'll be some good stuff to bet in place of bases though. NBA and College hoops games should present good betting opportunities.
