Played Pebble Beach in an August a while back when it was "calm"

    My oh My ...

    1st 6 holes tease ya ....

then step into the meat of the furnance on 8, 9 and 10 .... if there is a harder stretch of par 4s in the world I can't think of one .... 2nd shot on 8 ..... no bail out ...... take that 5 wood and show some guts ..... miss it 5 yds right and its down in the cliff and pull it you are screwed as the bunkers hitting into the down slope of that green is impossible to get it up and down ... 9 is just simply A GOD DAMN ALL YA CAN EAT PAR 4 ..... 8 is a bitch but 9 is a follow up hole that should be outlawed as 8 is so majestic ya don't mind the trouble as the approach into that green is about a 200 ft drop down into the Ocean ... 9 is just a FUCK YOU ASSHOLE ... YA GOT GAME ... LETS SEE ...

standing on 18 is cool .... I mean who hasn't seen that hole? It is soooo flippin cool

That grass around the greens is that thick wiry shit .... ya have to land it on the green or its like a ball hitting quick sand

Driving around 17 mile drive ... saw an opening between the trees .... Ohhhh wow ...

got the driver out and about 12 balls and headed over the famous 16 at Cyrpess

Holy shit .... 230 yds par 3 right over the Pacific Ocean and the wind is usually into your face

Spyglass is a great course .... 1st 6 holes or so are links and then ya head back into
Del Monte forest .... really a neat track and back when I played it the rates were $17 with the money back for the pass to get into 17 mile drive ... played it like 6 times and truly a great track and the 4th green may be the longest green in the world

I'm pretty jealous Nick, though I HATE links style courses especially in the wind. Being a member at one for several years where I previously lived, I got my fill!

LOL, and I'm not even lying. I figure I'll break 100 in the next 3 years, if all goes well.

Doc, Spyglass isn't the one with the famous par-3 at No.7, is it? Google is being a bitch for me right now.
