Cool How Deep is the NBA Ref Scandal going to Go?

With the new revelation that another official was called 130+ times by Donaghy on game days and all lasted less than 2 minutes... How far and how deep does this go?

You can assume more than 2 officials were in on it... and if so will the NBA let them off with nothing but a private reprimand (to save face) and let the new General deal with it in charge of Officiating?

    Lets hear some thoughts

i think stern will do his best to make sure it doesn't go too deep. he doesn't need the nba exposed to any more of this. i hope the congress gets involved like they did with mlb. unless congress gets involved, i doubt it goes too deep.

they had more important things to do, but they still had those mlb steroid hearings.
i think most of congress (both parties) are more concerned with getting their faces out in public than doing something useful.

I stand firm in my opinion that there are more than 2 refs involved. Probably half of them are involved in some scheming because if the suits allowed a team that was MUCH better than most to cover ATS (sides or totals) night after night, then we'd all be rich.

Would you think if Congress got involved with the NBA ref situation, that it would help their 9% approval rating???? LOL

Stern has absolutely zero credibility. Since this whole mess became public, Stern has said that this was an isolated incident from one rogue official. What does he say now, two rogue officials? with the Lakers Sac series incidents that have also come up, when does Stern get blamed for this mess?

Although I believe its a longshot, I think that a new Commissioner should be in place for the begining of the next season and the cames should be played straight. The more that comes out the worse it is for the NBA. If they continue to put their head in the sand, they are inviting disaster.

you're right, it probably will go deep. although they're probably not related, i'm sure there are officials in all sports that effect the outcomes, either rouges or small groups. one of the facts that all of us have to accept (although we don't like it) as gamblers is the outcome might be "fixed".

I just hope I got the right side of the fix. But over and under was the way to go for the ref's. Call a lot of fouls and clock stops while they are at the free throw line.
