I'm laying the points with Colorado as my College Game of the Year! What a difference a month has made for the Iowa State Cyclones. When they hosted CU in early February, ISU had Big Dance aspirations with a 14-7 mark. Since then, the Cyclones have dropped 5 of 7 SU, and the inside game that was mediocre back then is non-existent now. ISU has lost 4 straight away from Hilton Coliseum, including a demoralizing, 18-point loss at Baylor in their last away game. Meanwhile, the Buffs are still hoping to dance later this month. The main reason has been the way they protect their home floor. CU is 14-1 SU in Boulder, winning by an average score of 84-64. In the loss at ISU, the Cyclones couldn't miss during their 51-point second half. They were also aided by quick whistles that went in their favor. CU leader Richard Roby fouled out with 13-! minutes left in the game, scoring just 10 points on 4-12 shooting. The Buffs were riding a 5-game win streak, but hadn't played in 8 days and they were rusty! CU turned it over 18 times. And, they were slow in extending their defense, which allowed ISU's backcourt to go off! They won;t be rusty and a step-slow this time. As mentioned above, ISU no longer has an inside game. During their current 4-game road skid, they are on the wrong side of a minus-39 rebound margin...almost 10 per game. ISU allows 74 ppg on 46% shooting, which is last in the Big-12. This is absolute payback and the Buffs roll by 20 on senior night! I'm laying it with Colorado as my College Game of the Year! Thanks! Good Luck! Scott
