    Introducing TheOnlineWire.com

Running a gaming information portal is a never-ending task. It involves providing our readers with accurate and reliable information regarding the online gaming industry, as well as rating sports books using objective criteria. It is also about continually analyzing the evolution of the market and finding ways to maintain the portal to keep pace with the evolution.

This is why our writers, graphics, technical staff and contributors sat around a table last September to discuss inputs, feedbacks and analysis accrued during our first 18 months of business.

The very first object of discussion was our original URL, theoffshorewire.com. Data retrieved from a survey we had previously commissioned was somehow puzzling. Eight of 10 Americans are not familiar with the word “offshore” nor do they have a clear knowledge of its meaning. Five of 10 have a hard time remembering it and three of 10 commonly spell it incorrectly.

We therefore immediately searched for an alternative word that would be easily remembered, but also allow us to maintain our established TOW abbreviation.

The final choice was made for the word “online”. Nine of 10 Americans are very familiar with this word, while five of 10 instinctively associate it with online gaming.

While we will be maintaining the original URL, this will soon be merely redirected to theonlinewire.com.

The second item of discussion was our technical platform. We felt the need to make a relevant investment in terms of financial and technical resources. This will insure the future growth of our Web site in a more technological advanced environment.

Our new platform is the outcome of five months of hard work and significant investments. The state-of-the-art Web manager utilizes the most advanced Microsoft products, such as SQL 2005. Its features, and its already available development tools, will guarantee the integration of the latest technologies during the upcoming years.

The utilization of this highly customized platform also enabled us to greatly enhance the Web site’s user-friendliness, which is now second to none.

The third and key element on our agenda was content. We felt compelled to expand our content by adding more sports related information. We have added new writers and are enhancing the interactivity of the site with our readers.

TheOnlineWire.com now provides its readers with a free preview, matchup and injury information center powered by Sports Databases. A daily sports article will also be featured on the home page.

While Charlie Maxwell will continue to write his Vegas View columns for theonlinewire.com, former Colts cheerleader and sports writer Lisa Perry joined theonlinewire.com and will write weekly exclusive articles and interviews for us.

Will Bridges, our players’ dispute specialist, is busy building a strong reputation among bettors by helping with their disputes. His role will also be enhanced in our new format.

Our news wire will continue to alternate information on the gaming industry with press releases and other newsworthy articles. Our core content remains sports book ratings. While striving to provide objective ratings on existing operators, we felt the need to enable our readers to express their opinion on sports books as well.

TheOnlineWire.com ratings pages now allow bettors to rate sports books by simply clicking on their screenshot. That takes them to a landing page containing the operation’s URL, our rating, a description of the ratings criteria for the assigned ranking, and a rating tool to be used by players to express their rating.

As soon as our readers have directly rated a sufficient number of sports books, we will display the user ranking together with ours on the main rating page for each single operation.

All this represents the tip of the iceberg of our new enhanced Web site. New revolutionary features will be progressively added in the months ahead.

We would now like to invite you to visit theonlinewire.com and test its features. Become active contributors by rating the sports books. We also invite you to review our new content and see why we believe theonlinewire.com will become your main online sports and gaming information venue for many years to come.

They can call themselves anything they want, but as long as they promote startup, scam books it won't matter much.
