11/18/2005 Warning: Sportsbook.com - Play at your own risk
7.15 am EST While Sportsbook.com (r. 4) is no longer able (or willing) to provide information about their account confiscation decisions, the book scores an all time high in customers complaints. "Hey I just got my accounts with sportsbook.com and sportsbetting.com deactivated and all the money I won taken with just my original deposit returned" says the book's latest victim " I called in and some floor supervisor named Carrie told me that I was placing both sides of a game and therefore all my profits would be taken. I had almost 7500 in profits, and the bets that this guy was talking about made up only a fraction of those winnings. Even if they were all of the winnings, I don't see anywhere in their rules where it says you can't play 2 sides on the same game. This guy Carrie said that it didn't matter and that all management decisions were final." Featuring what is believed to be one of the worst customer service in the industry, sportsbook.com surely found an illegal profit center by simply seizing players' winnings. This gangsters behavior should and will no longer be tolerated, also in consideration of the fact that the book belongs to a publicly traded Group (Sportingbet). Sportsbook.com actions fall within the sphere of action that triggers TOW's Zero Tolerance Policy. In view of the foregoing TheOffshoreWire will file complaints on behalf of affected players with U.K. Authorities.
