• To be in the March Madness Heads-Up Shoot Out, you must participate in 4 of the 8 week contest. You must also have an active account. An active account consists of a player wagering at least $25 per week.

• If you fail to earn an entry into the March Madness Heads-Up Shoot out, there will be a $200 entry fee for ANYONE that wants to participate.

• March Madness Heads-Up Shoot out Tournament Prizes consist of: 1st place $1000, 2nd place $500 and 3rd place $300. These prizes consist of only a 5x rollover, only.

I guess that I didnt read the rules that closely as usual. I thought that 1st and 2nd each week qualified for the heads up contest and that you could win more than 1 week.


It is a little hard to decide though. The official rules are below.


• This is a TWO PART CONTEST!!! At the end of each week (which will run Monday thru Sunday) the winner will be determined by your 10 graded plays. If you go 7-3 on the week, you will be +370. If there happens to be a tie, the winner will be decided on the Monday Night ESPN game with all tied players predicting the total points scored in the game. There will be 2 weekly winners. First place will receive $100 in freeplay money and Second place will receive $50 in freeplay money. (5x rollover/5x the amount won can only be withdrawn). Each weekly winner will earn 1 entry into the March Madness Heads-Up Shootout Tournament. Here players will go 1 on 1 in tournament style brackets until a winner is determined. March Madness Heads-Up Shoot Out Prizes consist of 1st place receiving $1000, 2nd place $500 and 3rd place $300 (5x rollover)

Dirty, I dont think that is what the original rules ment. I believe that you had to play in 4 of the 8 weeks to have your CREDITED entry from winning or coming in second count.


I was still under the impression that only the people who finished in 1st or second qualified for the second round unless the other guys paid $200. And out of the original guys who finished 1st or 2nd, you could ONLY play if you played in 4 of the 8 weeks and were active



For instance, BIGDADDY would have earned 2 entries into the head-to-head and I would have as well as a few other guys I guess. But maybe I misunderstood

I think that it his original thought was we would have 16 winners. 2 from each week. But obviously, a few guys would win 2,3 or 4 times. Thus they would get 2,3 or 4 entries.

Had no one paid the $200, then that is all that would be included except for the few winners who were not active or did not play in 4 of the 8 weeks. We can still ask MICELLI or I know that BIGDADDY knows the exact rules. HE will chime in a few days and tell us what exactly was supposed to happen

But when I first presented the contest to Bet phoenix it was meant to be if you deposited $100 and played in 4 of 8 weeks you auto qualified... Winners of the Weekly contests would get Bonus entries for winning... others would only have one chance... if players didn't participate in the required 4 weeks then they would have to deposit $200 to enter the H2H contest (this was for people who found the contest late, etc.)

It is not fair to make the ones who played weekly to deposit another $200 to make $300 and anyone else can get in for $200.... that was not the intention....I was in the hospital when this started and didn't catch it...

I want to do what is fair and what is right to have a fun contest

OK guys.. here is what we will do

• Anyone who did not participate in 4 of 8 weeks will have to deposit $200. If you participated in 4 of 8 weeks you automatically Qualify for the Head to Head Portion.
  
• If you won a week you will gain an extra Entry Into the head to head contest
• you can pick sides or totals
  
• We will start with the Thursday games (playin game will not count)
• In the First round (round of 64) Each Handicapper will pick 5 games and a Tiebreaker ... Winner will advance to the Next round
  
• Round of 32 will be 5 games and a Tiebreaker... winner advances
• Round of 16 you will pick 5 games and a Tiebreaker.. winner advances
• Round of 8 you will pick 3 games and a Tiebreaker .. Winner Advances
  
• Final Four you will pick 3 games and a Tiebreaker... Winners advances
• Championship Game you will pick side and total and 5 Props... Losers of the Final Four Matchups will pick as well to determine 3rd place
  

The above will be adjusted depending on participants .... if we have to go two rounds for each H2H match up we will to ensure we get to the Championship game...

The way this contest was supposed to be set up is how it is now.... The rules were not written up properly and I take full responsibility for it as I should have caught it after I got out of the hospital

the way the rules were there is no way it would work...as the rules contradict themselves several times...If it were the winners then there would be no reason so have a $200 late entry fee... nor would their be any reason to have posters play in 4 of the 8 weeks...

I feel it is only right for everyone that participated the minimum or pays $200 as a late entrant to be able to participate...


Ideally BigDaddy we will have 32 entrants... but if not we will have Byes from people who won weekly contests so the brackets work out.. we will have play in rounds..

If you need 10 more you could give the people who finished in 2nd place each week an additional entry... that would add 8 slots.
