    interesting list.

I'm trying to figure out why teams are left out based on the >7 point spread.

At first I didn't read that part and glancing over the list I quickly noticed no teams from Oklahoma and I was like WTF kind of list is this! The 7 points explains why they aren't in there of course, but I'm wondering what it is with the forumula that excludes teams that fit into that category.

Cooper, the reason I don't have some teams is because i've made spreadsheets for games that I may potentially bet. I won't bet on a home favorite of more than -7. That's why you won't find these games in there. Nothing to do with a formula everything to do with personal opinion.

    I was just wondering.

So you won't bet on a home favorite of more than 7 points?

Man that seriously limits your options doesn't it?

Just trying to pick your brain here regarding your reasoning for excluding those teams from your options.

Personally, I don't use any kind of factors like that and just go on a game by game basis but if I was using 7 as a rule it would more likely be road favorites of more than 7 I would think.

Anyway, just wondering how you come up with a formula like that.

I totally understand if you don't want to go into how or why so no worries if you don't want to.

Cooper, sorry so late on the response. I don't want to get into how I make these ratings since i spend so much time on my capping. These ratings are still in the developmental phase and I'm still waiting on input from Jeff Sagarin to make it more accurate. But for the sake of doing what I need to do, it works for me. A couple things these ratings don't include are home field advantage and injuries. So how do I fix this? I don't bet on away teams and i only bet on teams with little injuries. It works for me. Definitely gives me few plays but IMO you don't want a lot of plays to begin with because of the juice. Quality and not quantity is what I go for. As the season progresses the amount of plays per week should get smaller and smaller as the books lines get sharper and sharper.

well I'll tell you what man, you just nailed your Northwestern play and things are looking very good with Wisconsin having the ball and up 2 less than five to go. I don't wanna jinx you but I've been paying close attention to your plays today.

I'm impressed so far, regardless of the final outcome.

You mean to say you don't bet on home teams?
