    Cooper,

I don't understand why you pick USC while you know ahead their qb is injured. I was about to pick Washington (Big bet) but I hate to bet against you. (Lesson learned from last year)

Aaron Corp is a capable backup QB for SC......Was going to be the starter before he got injured earlier in the year.....USC is deep at the QB spot.

Wow, how did you know that info? But why there is no line at bookmaker site for this game?

I concur with Reno. I'm under the impression that Aaron Corp is a better QB, Barkley. USC might be more dangerous now... (or not)

USC quarterback Aaron Corp has been chosen to start the Trojans' Pac-10 opener against Washington on Saturday, a person briefed on the decision told ESPN's Joe Schad on Friday.

Freshman Matt Barkley is expected to regain his status as starter when he is healthy enough to resume throwing, the source said. Barkley continues to experience pain in his bruised right (throwing) shoulder, which was injured in the third-ranked Trojans' 18-15 victory at Ohio State last weekend.
USC coach Pete Carroll said Thursday that Barkley is improving every day, and Carroll wants to give him as much time as possible to heal before ruling him out against Washington.
Following Thursday's practice, Carroll said he still hasn't made a decision on who will be the starter, adding he might wait until Saturday's game (ABC, 3:30 p.m. ET) before making an announcement.
Corp, a junior, took all the snaps with the first-team offense Thursday and Carroll pronounced him ready to go if needed. Barkley did some light throwing on the side.
ESPN reporter Shelley Smith contributed to this story.

    Coop,
Usually I respect and agree with your opinions, except your political views which are of course seriously flawed, however I think UT may be the lock of the week. Tech has new QB, new WR's, little defense, in Austin, and perhaps a little revenge factor. Look for a blow out.

Pinball, how about you and me fly out to Vegas tomorrow and discuss this?

    Say about noonish?

Aaron Corp was pissed when he didn't get the job. He's got something to prove.

Pinball, Texas is without six players who 8 weeks ago give or take were surefire starters. A center, a tight end, and the four guys who were suspended due to academics. They haven't looked all that great to this point.

It IS at home, and they surely have revenge on their minds, but I still like Tech. New qb? Hasn't bothered them the last 4 times, they just stick someone new in there and he picks right up where his predecessor left off.

    Tulsa +18
    Texas Tech +17.5
    2-3 this week.
    12-11 overall.

USC - Well, what can I say, they lost straight up. I just hope Richard stuck with his guns.

UCLA - went about like I thought.
SMU -6 This one was a killer. How they blew a lead to Washington State and actually LOST...in OT...I have no clue but hey, WSU can't lose them all!
Tulsa - Got dominated on paper 45-0. They had chance after chance after chance to score. Interceptions in the end zone, fumbles in ou territory, etc. Not gonna get the job done.
Texas Tech - Game went pretty well. Could have gone either way really down the stretch. Tech got SCREWED BIG TIME on the no call for helmet to helmet on the quarterback. One of the most obvious ones I've seen in a long time. That cost them a chance to win the ball game.

Cooper: I’ve often seen a new QB usually didn’t succeed on his first game. But I was afraid to bet against you either. So I stayed away that straight up game but played 7 points teaser (picked Wash)

Cooper, really like your weekly wrap ups on games you played.

Think they are informative, and useful moving ahead.
