Default Cooper's Season Long Record and Updating Thread

I will copy my weekly update from each week's thread into this thread so I can keep track of my record in one single thread.

    Updating my record:

    Oregon +4
    Oklahoma State -6
    Oklahoma - 21.5
    Tulsa -13.5
    Illinois -6.5
    LSU -17
    Texas -41
    Cincinatti +5.5
    Miami +6
    USC -34.5
    Auburn -13
    Stanford -16.5

    Ended up 7-5.

Not a great week, but a winning week. The Oregon game...I still like them...game plan was horrible though.

Oklahoma State...a poorly played game by both teams. OSU's defense is vastly improved. Offense...needs some work but credit Georgia's defense. Lower scoring than I thought. Other than that, pretty close.

Oklahoma - When I made that bet Gresham was healthy and of course there's no way to know Bradford would get hurt. Without Gresham though, it was gonna be tough either way. Since they didn't cover, I'm glad they lost. I hate those bastards.

Tulsa - Dominated just like I thought pretty much.

Illinois - WOW. As good as they are, how did Mizzou dominate them like they did? As I said before in the first ncaa podcast we did, Missouri has tons of speed and there's still talent there on that squad, but losing the players they lost last year and playing an Illini team that is as good as I think they can or should be...that's an amazing surprise to me. I thought it could be interesting, especially since it's a semi rivalry, but not what we saw...

LSU - Hell you tell me!

Texas - WTF TEXAS!!! THIS WAS THE GAME THAT MADE MY WEEKEND WHAT IT WAS, OR MORE ACCURATELY, WHAT IT WASN'T. They gave up 20 points to LA Monroe. They turned the ball over three times and that's the cover right there.

Cinci - They actually did even better than I expected and I was happy to see it.

Miami - Game went about like I thought it would. Either team could win in a close one...

USC - Nothing to say there, just about what I expected.

Auburn - Covered fairly easy but not as easily as I thought.

Stanford - I'll keep betting against Washington State until they bit me as long as the line is somewhat sane.

    Week 2 Update

    Updating record.
    7-5 last week.
    3-3 this week.

10-8 overall. Horrible start this season. Not a happy capper!

GA TECH, up 21-0...from there, I'm not sure how I lose that game but it happened.

Hawaii - Easy Money betting against WSU

Oklahoma State - lost straight up after getting down 24-7 at halftime. and then coming back to take the lead with an amazing third quarter. You can't just show up and beat Houston. They thought they would. Too little too late.

USC - What can I say, IMO they didn't play up to their potential and Ohio State played a hellova game at home in front of 100,000 people. The home crowd and big time game atmosphere mattered more than I gave it credit for. We'll find out soon if Ohio State played up or USC played down or both, or if USC just isn't as good as I thought or Ohio State is just better than I thought. Maybe Navy deserves more credit.

Kansas - played a little better than I thought they would, easy win.

Tulsa - I actually thought they would win by even more but still covered easily and won by a ton.

This week should be better, but I'm still looking forward to Big 12 play.

Cooper...did I see a note about you being the Big12 Guru? Im a Big10 guy at heart, but love the Big12. IMO kinda the difference between watching boys and girls basketball on any level.

would love to see your thoughts week in and week out for the match ups.
    Good Luck

Thanks Beechernic! You probably did see that. I like to at least think I have the Big 12 on lockdown but things change every season. We have our first matchup of the season this week with Texas facing off against Texas Tech.

I've always thought... if Im gonna blow a parlay or teaser, might as well lose them all. Granted there is nothing good about losing 8 out of 9 games, but its better than putting together 9 - 3gamers and losing one game in each of them.

USC - Well, what can I say, they lost straight up. I just hope Richard stuck with his guns.

UCLA - went about like I thought.
SMU -6 This one was a killer. How they blew a lead to Washington State and actually LOST...in OT...I have no clue but hey, WSU can't lose them all!
Tulsa - Got dominated on paper 45-0. They had chance after chance after chance to score. Interceptions in the end zone, fumbles in ou territory, etc. Not gonna get the job done.
Texas Tech - Game went pretty well. Could have gone either way really down the stretch. Tech got SCREWED BIG TIME on the no call for helmet to helmet on the quarterback. One of the most obvious ones I've seen in a long time. That cost them a chance to win the ball game.

    3-3 last week
    Updated Record: 15-14.

Kansas - They were leading by double digits with the ball a couple of times and could have covered. They were tied as well, and could have lost. Several turning points in the game. Just couldn't get it done. Coulda covered but lucky just to win in the end.

Mizzou - Handled Nevada pretty well although I thought they looked pretty slow at times. One by 10 and covered by 3 but I thought it was better than the score indicated. Nevada scored late to get within 10.

Ohio State - Not much to say here, 30-0 and never in question

LSU - LSU was as lucky as any team ever to even win this game. Poor selection on my part. Number 4 they are not.

GA Tech - Pretty easy victory here. NC is overrated imo. Start to finish but slow...

Penn State - This one has me scratching my head. Iowa...I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Crazier things have happened already this season. In retrospect, this one isn't that crazy at all.

    This week: 3-2-1
    New Record: 18-16-1

Mississipi - Easy start to finish win.
VT - Duke deserves more credit than I think I've been giving them.

LSU/Georgia under - This was my big daddy and it was an easy winner. Only six points scored through three. The defenses tired late and points were put up but under still came in easily

GT - Pretty much how you draw it out though I was concerned a couple of times they would blow it.

Tulsa - I don't know how Tulsa only puts up 27 points on Rice. They allowed Rice to sack the quarterback 5 times so that may have been a part of it.

Houston - HOUSTON, HOUSTON, HOUSTON...how do you win at Oklahoma State and beat Texas tech and then give up 58 points to one of the worst teams in the entire country? 58 points to the 108th ranked offense in the country. Not only did they not cover, they got beat the F down. I have no words for this, other than it was obviously a horrible pick.
