Expect Ga Tech to be a lot better this year as well
I have been telling whoever that will listen that Seton Hall is a top 15 team. Gonzalez brought in 3 impact transfers, Herb Pope, Keon Lawerence, and Jeff Robinson, to go along with an already talented lineup of Jeremy Hazell, Eugene Harvey, Robert Mitchell. Have more on Seton Hall in my Big East preview thread.
Also like Northwestern contending in the Big 10. They only lost sharp shooter Craig Moore, but return a talented group that should only improve with a year under their belt.
Expect Ga Tech to be a lot better this year as well

Who are the big CBB guys to talk with here? I am soooper excited to see the season to kick off. I dont know if I have any sleepers, but Ill probly make some futures wagers on Iowa, Villanova, and Miami. As they are all "Homers" for me.
Denver should be pretty good plus all teams in that time zone seem to be forgotten, maybe its just mainstream media not playing to that market as much but still I like them.
Indiana state
I think a fade team is fiu....too much hype with isiah thomas, he is a player not a coach. It will be proved this season as his team will struggle with the high expectations some have set for this team.
Really like 2 Missouri Valley teams, So Illinois, and Indiana St. In a guard dominant league, these 2 teams have the best back courts imo. Indiana St caught a big breaks when the NCAA allowed Jake Kelly to be eligible immediately. Teamed with Harry Marshall, and Rashad Reed, I expect the Sycs to pick right up where they left on last year. I can see them making some serious noise in the valley.
Same with So Illinois. Another Iowa transfer, Tony Freeman, is eligible for his senior season for SIU. Freeman, and sophmore Kevin Dillard may form the most explosive back court. SIU needs once highly touted recruit Anthony Booker to live up to his top 50 prospect billing. He has all the tools to dominate in the Valley, so hopefully with a year under his belt, and expectations lowered he can have a bounce back year. Regardless with Freeman, and Dillard in the back court, and Carlton Fay, along with Booker in the post, SIU should be back where they belong, on top of the Valley standings
i was talking about Denver at a couple other places how I feel they may contend in the Sun Belt. They return everyone, and have an excellent head coach. The Pioneers are a great defensive team, can shoot the ball, and have a couple go to scorers. If they can learn to win on the road, they won't be surprising teams any longer
Siena Saints went 27-8
and beat Ohio St in 1st rd last year
should be even better this year
thinking should win at least 30
Tip Off is almost here.., I am going to a X-abition tonight.. Hoosiers/Lancers.....
Hoosiers picked 10th for the Big Ten.. Watch out.., I C a very good group , Loaded w/ Freshman and Sophmores, Yes, very Young.., Watch as this Team keeps winning and slowly jumping up the rankings... By Conference Time the Hoosiers will B in the Top 30.. Most everyone thinks this is a yr. to grow, and w/ a Top 10 recruiting class of 2010.., Next yr is when the Hoosiers will B back in the Top of the Big Ten.....
I Believe it is all starting NOW... Just sit back and watch.., This is going to B A X- Citing
Year.......
HOOSIERS GOING DANCING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I dont know how much of a surprise it will be, but Ohio St. should have some huge improvement in thier win column from last year. I also agree with the Ga Tech comments in this thread. As far as dissapointment surprises ... does anybody think Memphis will be a thin shell of what it was in the past. UCLA and N.Carolina may be sketchy out of the block also with very talented yet inexperienced lineups.
I agree about the Hall. Should be really talented.
My surprise team should be no surprise: Oklahoma State!
Way better in the paint this year and much deeper. Should be able to run and defend deeper into the game than they were last year.
Micelli is the guy to watch for college hoops. That guy is insane.
He'll bet Loyola vs Niagra just the first half and they'll cover but for the game they won't even be close to covering. I don't know how he does it, but he does! I learned not to question him, just to go along for the ride!
