Espi,
I would recomend a few things,
1. Play within your bankroll
2. Keep notes on who you play against
3. Use poker tracking software
4. Keep learning
Play a tight aggressive style, and keep your focus. Lots of money to be won presently.

What strategy do you all use during nl cash games?
Are there any good articles online to learn?

I play differently based on how many players you have at the table. Up to 6 players I can play a lot more hands than you normally could if you were playing a full ring game (9-10 players)
How many are you looking at playing with?
Is this online or a home game? I prefer home games to online action.
I've been trying online 5 or 6 hand tables...
What tracking software do you recommend? And is it free?
not sure about any tracking software to use.
As far as those 5-6 handed games, if you are playing a quick single table, sit back and wait for a hand that you are play, large pocket pair 99 or above, or AK AQ. If you don't hit the flop release it and wait for another hand. There is no need to play very loose until there are a couple of players out of the game, and you don't want to be the first.
Another option is to play out very quickly showing down a hand without much. This will make you seem like you don't have a clue to the rest of the table. Now really tighten up, once you do get your large pocket pair, the others at the table will be more willing to throw their money in because they saw you play with nothing earlier. Now is the chance to take contol of all of the chips and the money shall soon follow behind it.

take a look at http://www.pokertracker.com
great software that automatically downloads your hand histories and sorts the data for you. GREAT learning tool. It also keep stats on your opponents so when you run into them again, you have an idea on how they play. There are many features. I believe you can download the software and use it for 1000 hands for free, then if you elect to buy the full version, its only like $50.
notes, tracking software is nice, Go back to the way Dad and grandpa used to play. I'm a big believer in that. Personally I'm only 31, not a dad.
Use your gut. Learn to read people.
Your best bet at a NL cash game is to sit down with the mentallity, you will loose for an hour. read the players at the table. When you play for 50.00 or 5000 a pot, guys my be more open at the 50.00, but they still get jumpy, look around, smirk, and the biggest clue is they talk. They make a 2500.00 cash bet and they start gabbing, call it everytime. 9 out of 10 you'll hit.
They check there cards a bunch of times it's a weak hand. you have 2 aces in the hole. you know you have 2 aces in the hole. They take forever to bet, it's a hand, but it's not that strong. They look around before betting, they are looking for help. Lean on them.
the biggest stratagy, once you play a game or 2 with the same guys, if they are good, they will know you are reading them, and use it against you. So going to the basics, trust your gut.
I would use online to tweak your game. You can read players online as well. I found it helped me know what they had by the way they bet and the flop cards. So now I use it at table games, it really helped.
Hi
Hello
What levels are you talking about. At micro-stakes and even into the range of 50 NL and 100NL, you can be profitable playing very few hands, and basically just waiting until people give you money. This isn't optimally profitable and it's rather boring, but it's lower variance than playing a more active style. Plus it's not much of a way to learn how to play higher which you need to do because you'll face more players capable of exploiting nits.
Thanks
Have a nice time
When there is an extreme strength pre-flop especially if you've been in a position to reraise, it's likely your opponents will be aware you have a good holding. If they nail the flop, there's a decent chance they'll be able to bust you. If they miss, they can easily get out.
That's indeed a very good point you have brought about. I too think the same but with a little different. Though, there is not much I would like to differ on the point that you spoke about. I think that it would be a very good thing to have the best of the things and keep them coming at us.
Playing in cash games is better than playing in a tournament, where you can leave whenever you want to. Because winning money in a tournament only comes to those who outlast the field, you're signing away a chunk of your life to play in a tournament. Moreover, there's no rule that you can't stand up, even if you hit a monster pot on your first hand and want to quit on the spot.
